Candy Canes
During the winter festival...how does one obtain the candy canes. Are there certain items gathered to trade for them or what. Is there a certain person that gives them out. Any info on this would be helpful. Thanks!

It doesn't start until tomorrow so how exactly would we know?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but last year you traded shards in, which dropped from monsters. You collected certain items like charr carvings and traded them in. Christmas presents could also contain them. Look it up on guildwiki if you want to know what happened last year. |

Yes. There are several items to trade and NPC's to trade with. I don't remember all the details from a year ago, but singed gargoyle skulls were the only item that traded one for one with candy canes. You can farm them from the gargoyles outside Nolani in Tyria.

Last year for candy canes it was easiest to farm charr carvings, grawl necklaces, and singed gargoyle skulls. Collectors will show up in Ascalon, LA, and Droks. I believe it was the local critters for the most part you used to trade in. Decayed Orr Collars come to mind as well. Candy Cane Shards were usually used to craft the candy weapons, gingerbread offhands, etc. There were other things in other areas, but I stuck to Ascalon as they were easiest.
